Online Bachelor's Degree Programs

Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

The online Bachelor of Social Work will provide you with the foundational skills and experience you need to earn social work licensure and start a career in a variety of social work settings — from direct practice to community outreach and more.

Meet Emerging Community Needs

OLLU's online BSW is one of only three social work programs in the country with an emphasis on service to families and children in the Hispanic community, the fastest-growing demographic nationwide. You can also earn certification in Violence Prevention and Intervention without taking on any extra credits.

Hands-On Training for an In-Demand Field

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of social workers is projected to grow 16 percent by 2026. Graduate ready to meet this need through two supervised fieldwork experiences in social work settings.

Flexible Scheduling

With a convenient, online format, you can learn where and when you want. The BSW, which consists of 60 credit hours for the major and 120 credit hours for the full program, can be completed in as few as two years.

Online Master’s Degree Programs

Master of Social Work

The CSWE-accredited MSW program is offered 100% online by OLLU's Worden School of Social Service, one of the nation’s premier graduate schools in social work. It can be taken by experienced social workers or professionals looking to move into the field.

This specialized program is one of three in the U.S. to provide a rich understanding of the needs of children and families in the Hispanic community — a population that reached a record 59.9 million in 2018, and accounted for half of all U.S. population growth between 2008 and 2018.1 As a result, the demand for professionals with the expertise to work with this population effectively has grown.

Choose the program that's right for you.

  • Advanced Standing Program

This 30-credit hour program is meant to move current social work professionals to advanced practice quickly. If you have a BSW from a CSWE-accredited program, you can earn your MSW in 12–20 months.

  • Foundation MSW Program

This 57-credit hour program is designed for those with an undergraduate degree in another field. If you'd like your next career move to involve service through social work, you can earn your MSW in 24–38 months.
